Help improve transport for disabled children and young people
The Community Transport Association represents a UK-wide movement of not-for-profit transport providers working to make travel accessible for everyone – because transport should be a right, not a privilege.
We know that access to transport is not equal. Many disabled children and young people face significant barriers when travelling to school or college, taking part in activities, or simply spending time with friends. This needs to change, and the Community Transport Association is committed to being part of the solution.
Its Creating Connections research project is exploring how community transport can better meet the needs of disabled children and young people across the UK.
As part of this stage of the research, the Community Transport Association is keen to hear from:
- Parents or carers of disabled children and young people up to age 25
- Young people aged 16–25 with lived experience of disability
You can share your experiences online. Your feedback can help improve accessibility and will play a vital role in shaping future guidance for Community Transport providers and the local authorities they work with.
As a thank you, all survey respondents can enter a prize draw to win one of three £250 high street vouchers.
Please leave your feedback by 5pm on 30 June 2026.
The survey has been designed with accessibility in mind. If you or someone you support needs assistance or would prefer to complete it in a different format, please email policy@ctauk.org
