Wheelchair loan

If you have a relative or friend staying with you who needs to use a wheelchair on their visit, or if you find you need one yourself short-term, we are happy to lend you one for up to one month.

To access this service, you must become a member of Adapt NE. For an individual, this costs £7. You can become a member when you pick up your wheelchair. We have several manual wheelchairs available to borrow. We would recommend getting in touch beforehand to enquire about availability, especially during busier periods such as Christmas and New Year. We’re open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

If you do borrow one, we will ask you to give us your details and to sign an insurance disclaimer. Please note that there is no borrowing charge, but you can give a donation to support our work if you wish. Click below to view our latest wheelchair loan leaflet for more information.
