Welcome to our Community Hub

As at April 2026 we’re open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10.00am to 1.00pm. We hope to extend these hours soon so please watch this space for updates!

Important notice: The hub will be closed on Thursday 21 May for staff training. We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you soon.

Community litter pick at Tyne Green County Park

We’re holding a litter picking event on Monday 18 May, as part of A Million Acts of Hope week.

A Million Acts of Hope is a UK-wide campaign bringing together charities, faith groups, and communities to celebrate everyday acts of kindness and solidarity.

Running from 13 – 20 May, the week aims to highlight small, practical actions that build stronger communities and counter hate.

Join us at the hub at 10.00am (9.30am for coffee) for the litter pick at Tyne Green Country Park, then we’ll return at 11.00am for refreshments.

All equipment will be provided.

If you’d like to take part please sign up.

Our hub is a warm and friendly space for everyone in our community.

It’s a place to meet with others, to socialise and combat loneliness, or, simply to sit and enjoy a moment of quiet.

The hub always has refreshments available, including tea, coffee and soft drinks, plus homemade soup and snacks. These are free of charge, but those who are able to make a donation are welcome to do so.

We offer a signposting and information service, helping direct you to the services and support you need. This could be around health care, money and housing, mental health, social care, or physical activity.

We have a growing programme of free activities at the hub – see the calendar above for all the latest!

We have plenty of free parking and bike racks, dogs are welcome, and the space is fully accessible.

The hub houses a Changing Places facility, available to use whilst the Community Hub is open.

If you are part of a local group or club and would like a space to meet, please get in touch. We have two interconnecting rooms available, plus a kitchen area.

If you have any ideas or suggestions about activities you’d like to see at the hub, we’d love to hear them! Contact us today.
