You’re invited to our 33rd AGM on Thursday 14 November 2024, where you can hear about our current work and plans for the future.

The event takes place at 11.30am until 1pm at our offices on Burn Lane.

Adapt is a member of the national Safe Places scheme

Safe Places is a scheme that gives people a place of safety if needed when out and about in their local community. If you:

  • Feel anxious
  • You are lost
  • You have lost something (e.g. bus pass, wallet, phone)
  • You have been bullied
  • You are upset or worried

Come to reception and we will try our best to help you. We are designated as a Safe Place. This service is free-to-use and confidential. We can contact somebody on your behalf, or if we can’t help directly, we will try to find someone who can.

Wark Health Fair

You’re invited to the Wark Health Fair on Saturday 19 October 2024, 10am to 12pm, at Wark Town Hall.

A range of health and community organisations will be there to offer information and support, including West Northumberland Living Well Service, NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies, Healthwatch Northumberland, Northern Cancer Alliance, Northumbria Healthcare, Carers Northumberland and Escape Family Support. You can also have your say on the NHS and social care services you have used, so that services can improve.

There will be free health checks on offer, information stalls, and free Fairtrade refreshments.
